Frequently Asked Questions
When are you going to open? When can I schedule my appointment?
We are now open and ready to serve you and your family! Give us a call to schedule your visit.
What services will you offer?
We are a modern, digital, and family-oriented general dentist office. Dr. Rosemann provides services such as cleanings, sealants, deep cleanings (SRP), fillings, extractions, crowns/bridges, dentures, partials, whitening, and nitrous oxide (laughing gas). We also have an intraoral scanner to assist with your dental treatment. Say goodbye to goopy and uncomfortable dental impressions!
Will you accept my insurance?
We will accept most dental insurances at our office as we are not restricted by a contract with insurance companies. We will be happy to look up your benefits as a courtesy to you. We will file claims for our patients and are able to contact your insurance company to give you an estimate. At this time we also accept Medicaid insurances for ages 20 and under and pregnant women.
What can I expect for my first visit at Rosemann Dental?
Generally for new patients wanting to establish care, we will take a comprehensive series of x-rays as recommended by the doctor. A comprehensive exam will be then be completed which includes: an oral cancer screening, documenting and checking any existing dental work you have had done, checking for cavities, diagnosing treatment that is recommended, and a periodontal exam (for gum health). If a deep cleaning (SRP) is not needed, then Dr. Rosemann will clean your teeth that day if time allows. We will schedule additional visits for any treatment you may need.
Why do I need dental x-rays?
Dental radiographs, or x-rays, are absolutely necessary for your dentist to properly diagnose dental problems and plan treatment. Without x-rays, we cannot see the bone, certain cavities, or other issues like infections. Your dentist will recommend x-rays depending on your treatment plan and cavity risk. Before you deny dental x-rays at your next dental visit, keep these things in mind:
X-rays help dentists identify dental problems early, before you even realize you have one. This can save you money.
The amount of radiation emitted from a digital x-ray is minimal. You are going to be exposed to more radiation flying one time on an airplane across the United States than you will from your dental x-rays.
Insurance companies require x-ray documentation to accept and pay claims for most procedures.
Most dentists will not provide services or treatment without x-rays.
Why are you not “in-network” with my insurance company? How do “out-of-network” dentists work?
A common misconception is that you can’t use your dental insurance with an “out-of-network” dentist. Did you know that isn’t true? Actually, an “out-of-network” dentist can be a better option for you and here’s why!
“Out-of-network” does not mean that you can’t use your insurance. At our office, we file insurance as a courtesy for our patients.
YOU get to choose your dentist, not your insurance company. After all, you’re the one that’s receiving the treatment! It’s important you like and trust your dentist. Your insurance company shouldn’t limit your options.
We are working for the patient, not the insurance company. Our priority is our patient
In today’s world, you will find a lot of dentists are choosing to stay out-of-network with insurance companies. There are several reasons why a dentist chooses not to agree to an insurance contract. This DOES NOT mean that you cannot see that dentist, but it may mean that you might owe more out-of-pocket. Sometimes insurance companies pay out-of-network dentists the same amount as in-network dentists.
Although some dental insurances can help keep out-of-pocket costs lower for the patient, it should not limit your choice in dentist. It is essential to find a dentist who will work with you, regardless of your insurance, to craft a personalized treatment plan just for you.
Dental insurance can be a confusing topic. Give us a call if you have any questions about your plan. We are happy to help!
